Follow our comprehensive God of War Ragnarök trophy roadmap to achieve 100% completion. Learn about missable trophies, collectibles, and post-game activities.
God of War Ragnarok, much like its predecessor, requires players to revisit areas after completing the main story. This is often due to needing specific items like the Draupnir Spear or because certain enemies only appear later. Fortunately, most boss-related trophies are earned during the main story, and no trophies are missable, allowing for completion at any time.
Step 1 - Finish the Main Story
The primary recommendation is to focus on completing the main story first. This ensures you acquire all necessary items to access new areas containing trophy-linked content. Some areas are accessible without the Draupnir Spear but still require main story progression. For instance, the fight against Valkyrie Queen Gna in Muspelheim occurs after the main story. While the main story is linear, some areas, like the northern part of Helheim during the 'Unleashing Hel' quest, may become inaccessible. If items are missed, they can be found in blue chests at Blacksmith Shops or purchased from the shop menu.
During the story, you'll naturally collect some items and collectibles. While it's tempting to complete areas in one go, be mindful that parts of Svartalfheim, such as the back of Dragon Beach and islands connected to Alberich Island, require the Draupnir Spear obtained after the 'Forging Destiny' quest. Similarly, some areas in Nidavellir, The Forge, and The Applecore, including certain Nornir Chests, are inaccessible without it. Prioritize main story completion to gather everything possible on your first pass.
Step 2 - Complete Favors and Realm Collectibles
Ratatoskr Realm Seeds and Favors
After finishing the main story, you'll have the means to revisit realms for Favors and Collectibles. Obtain additional Realm Seeds from Ratatoskr, found outside Sindri’s House in the Realm Between Realms. Hitting the chimes with the Leviathan Axe summons him. These new seeds are available post-main story, but Ratatoskr also offers other quests related to favors, like 'The Lost Lindwyrms' and 'A Stag For All Seasons'. Regularly check with Ratatoskr after main story quests for new tasks.
Some favors, such as 'The Broken Prison' in Niflheim, are only accessible after the main story and won't appear on the map until then. The same applies to certain flowers for the 'Nine Realms in Bloom' favor, and access to Jotunheim as Kratos, or specific parts of Niflheim and Midgard, is restricted until the main story concludes.
Realm Collectibles for 100% Completion
Hundreds of collectibles are scattered across the realms. While some are found during the main story, many require specific items for access. It's most efficient to focus on 100% completion after the main story, as you'll have all necessary items and access. This avoids the frustration of being blocked from areas or items.
Treasure Maps and Buried Treasure are often among the last collectibles found, as they typically require access to late-game areas. Consult dedicated guides for their locations. Similarly, for any missing Nornir Chests, refer to specific location guides for a quick overview.
