How to Kill Loot Lizards (Ormr)

Alright, so you've probably stumbled across these little guys, the Loot Lizards, or Ormr as they're also called. They're not exactly aggressive, but man, are they good at running away! They're basically like tiny, scaly ninjas that burrow the second they see you coming. You can't just chuck your Leviathan Axe at them head-on, because they'll totally dodge it. But don't worry, they're not invincible. They drop some pretty sweet crafting materials, so it's definitely worth figuring out how to take them down.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Passive: They don't attack.
• Evasive: Burrow when approached, dodge frontal ranged attacks.
• Weakness: Can be hit from the side, above, or behind.

Strategy:

• The key is to catch them off guard. Since they can only see what's in front of them, you need to get to their flanks, above them, or sneak up from behind.
• This often involves some environmental puzzle-solving. You might need to climb to a higher vantage point or find a way to shoot your axe through a gap.
• For example, in The Below in Alfheim, you might need to ricochet your Leviathan Axe off a twilight stone to hit them.
• When you finally take one down, they'll drop useful crafting materials, and sometimes even healing or rage crystals. The rarer materials come from the ones you find later in the game.

Locations:

• Svartalfheim - Dragon Beach: Find one under the northern wooden structure. Climb the chain nearby, then toss your Leviathan Axe through the hole in the floor to hit it from behind.
• Svartalfheim - Modvitnir’s Rig: Near the Lore Marker. You'll need to grapple to a platform to the north, then turn around and aim down at the lizard.
• Alfheim - The Below: In the southwestern part of the room with the Rune Reads - Patience Lore.
• Alfheim - The Burrows
• Vanaheim - River Delta - Northeast of Brok’s Shop
• Midgard - Lake of Nine - East of The Oarsman
• Midgard - Lake of Nine - South of Alfheim Tower
• Midgard - Lake of Nine - Northwest of Tyr’s Temple
• Vanaheim - The Crater - Southwest of the Overgrown Tower
