Follow this guide to complete the Casualty of War: The Scroll favor in God of War Ragnarök. Find the scroll and help the spirit in Vanaheim's The Plains.

Alright, so you're looking to wrap up the 'Casualty of War: Of The Scroll' favor in God of War Ragnarök. It's a pretty straightforward one once you know where to look. You'll need to have made your way to The Crater in Vanaheim first, specifically The Plains area. This usually happens after you've finished the main quest called 'Creatures of Prophecy'.

To even get this favor started, you'll want to head to Freyr's Camp. Look for a favor called 'Scent of Survival' – completing that will open up The Crater for you. Once you're in The Plains, keep an eye out for a pair of pillars, one of which is broken, off to the west. Follow the path that leads down from there, cross a little gap, and then use your grapple to swing over to the Western Plains. Just keep heading north, ignoring any paths that try to pull you off course, until you pass a rock wall that has some wind vents on it.

You'll see a spot where you can drop down. Just ahead of you, there's a gate with some nasty poison seeping from underneath it – don't worry about that for now. Instead, go across from the gate and you'll find another grapple point. Use it to cross the next gap. Be careful as you cross this next gap, as there are some plants that like to attack you. Once you're past them, head into the cave that's on the side. Inside, you'll find a spirit. Chatting with this spirit is what officially kicks off the 'Casualty of War: Of The Scroll' favor for you.

Now, to actually finish the favor, the other half of the scroll you need is super close to where you just met the spirit. It's actually behind that same rock wall with the wind vents you saw earlier, but you only saw two of them. To get to the third vent and the scroll, you'll need to do a little bit more exploring.

Exit the cave where you found the spirit and climb up the wall nearby. This will put you in an area that has one of those Celestial Altars. If you look over one of the edges from up here, you should be able to spot an area that's currently blocked off by that rock wall. You'll also get a good look at the third wind vent from this vantage point.

Your next move is to toss a spear at that third wind vent. Make sure you don't detonate it just yet. After that, head back to the front of that same wall. You can either backtrack the way you came, or if you're feeling bold, just kick the metal thing off the ledge near the altar and drop down. Either way, once you've blown up that wall, drop down into the newly opened area. You'll find a purple item lying there – grab it, and that's it! Favor complete.
