Rest Often: Resting recovers hit points, spell usage, and cures negative effects like poison or disease. You cannot rest if enemies are nearby. Resting consumes 24 hours of in-game time.

Save Often: Regularly save your game to prevent loss of progress due to game freezes or crashes. While patching may reduce issues, it's always best to play safe.

Don't Save When: Avoid saving while Stunned, Dazed, or Paralyzed, or under other negative spell effects. Loading a game in such a state can lead to repeated deaths. If you must save mid-battle, use the Stone of Recall to teleport to safety, heal, and then save.

Leveling-Up Tip: Before leveling up, equip items that enhance ability scores (e.g., Constitution for HP, Intelligence for Wizards). This allows you to gain maximum benefits from the level-up. Unequipping these items afterward does not negate the gains.

Map Pins: Utilize map pins to mark important locations, such as doors requiring special keys, points of interest, or places to return to. You can add custom text descriptions to each pin.

Area Control: When entering an area with many enemies, stay near the entrance. If overwhelmed, retreat to the previous area to rest and re-engage enemies in smaller groups. Save after resting. Be aware that some enemies may pursue you through the exit.

Luring Enemies: To manage large groups of enemies, lure them out one or a few at a time by engaging briefly and retreating. Most of the group will not follow.

Combat Evasion: If low on resources and health during a tough fight, use the Stone of Recall to teleport to safety, rest, prepare spells, and buy potions. Save and then re-enter the portal to resume the battle.

Avoid Corners: Do not back your character into a corner, especially when surrounded by multiple tough opponents, as it severely limits escape options and increases the risk of death.

Death and Respawning: Choose 'Load Game' over 'Respawn' to return to your last save. Respawning incurs a penalty of 50 XP per character level and 10% of your gold. While dying is common in Neverwinter, respawning can significantly hinder character progression and financial status. However, if you die near the end of a difficult battle, respawning might be preferable to repeat the entire fight, as the enemy will remain weakened.

Opening Containers and Doors: If your character has a low Open Lock skill, bash open containers or doors, or use spells like Knock, Fireball, or Magic Missiles. Wands can also be used. This applies to trapped containers, but bashing an actively trapped item can damage or kill your character. Spells or wands used on trapped items will disarm the trap.

Wands: Characters cannot equip wands in their hands, even if their class allows their use.
