Learn how death and respawning work in Neverwinter, including penalties and resurrection spells.
Walkthrough
- 1When your character's HP (Health Points) reach 0 or less, they die.
- 2Upon death, you are transported to the nearest temple of healing.
- 3Your lost HP are restored at the temple.
- 4You can then choose to transport back to the place where you died.
- 5If you choose to respawn, you will lose a small amount of XP (Experience Points) and gold.
- 6A character can never lose a level due to death after respawning.
Warning: Whatever killed your character may still be present when you return to the location of your death, potentially thrusting you back into combat immediately.
Raising the Dead:
- Two spells, Raise Dead and Resurrection, can bring a player back from the dead.
- Only high-level Clerics have access to these spells.
Tips
- Always be aware of your surroundings when you respawn, as the threat that defeated you might still be active.
- Consider the XP and gold penalty versus the risk of returning to a dangerous area.
- If you are a high-level Cleric, these resurrection spells can be invaluable for reviving fallen allies.
