    Speak with Tomi in Kendrak's Barracks and hire him as your henchman. You do not need to give him any gold.

    Eventually, you will learn that Tomi needs a gem called the Star of Calimshan.

    The Star of Calimshan is located in Wanev's Tower, in the middle room, inside a chest.
