Follow this guide to complete The Gauntlet Arena side quest in Neverwinter. Learn how to get the Gauntlet Pass, defeat Hrusk, Kashi, Agar, and Claudus, and claim your rewards.
Walkthrough
- 1First, you need the Gauntlet Pass. Find Graxx in the Trade of Blades in the City Core. Ask him about action, and he will offer to sell you a pass for 50 gold.
- 2Head to The Board Laid Bare in the Blacklake District and speak to the bartender. They will give you a Gauntlet Key.
- 3Use the key on the door within The Board Laid Bare, descend the stairs, and proceed through another door.
- 4Approach the arena and speak to Kellisai. Ask about the rules, then agree to fight the first round. She will teleport you into the arena.
- 5Round 1: Fight the Dwarf Fighter Hrusk and his dog. This opponent is not particularly difficult. After winning, pull the lever to return to Kellisai.
- 6Tell Kellisai you are ready for the next round.
- 7Round 2: Fight the halfling Monk Kashi and his wolf. Kashi has high Dexterity and is good at dodging. It is recommended to use a weapon with at least a +1 Enhancement Bonus to defeat him efficiently. He does not deal significant damage, so patience is key. After winning, pull the lever, talk to Kellisai, and prepare for the next round.
- 8Round 3: Fight the Orc Agar and his Cogar Cat. Despite the Orc's appearance, he is not a difficult opponent. After defeating him, pull the lever to receive your third medal.
- 9Talk to Kellisai and enter the final round.
- 10Round 4: Fight the human Claudus and two panthers. If you paid Kellisai 400 gold beforehand to fix the fight in your favor, this battle will be very easy. Otherwise, Claudus will provide a decent challenge.
- 11After defeating Claudus, pull the lever to receive 200 XP and the Gauntlet Champion Award, a necklace with no special properties.
- 12By winning the award, you now own The Board Laid Bare. Return to the bartender to collect the week's earnings.
