Walkthrough
- 1Select the Pick Pocket skill.
- 2Select a valid target.
Tips
- There are two steps to picking pockets: acquiring the item and the target not noticing the theft.
- The base Difficulty Class (DC) to steal from a neutral or tolerant creature is 20, and from a hostile creature is 30.
- Your character's Pick Pocket check is affected by armor check penalties.
- The targeted creature makes an opposed Spot check against your character's Pick Pocket check.
- Hostile creatures gain a +10 bonus to their Spot checks against Pick Pocket attempts.
- If the opposed roll succeeds for the target, they detect your attempt.
- An NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) who detects the attempt will become hostile.
- A Player Character (PC) who detects the attempt will be informed that you tried to pick their pocket.
- If both checks succeed for your character, you successfully steal the item without detection.
