Receiving a Pokémon

Learn how to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee using the GO Park Complex. Get tips for a smooth transfer process!

So, you've been catching Pokémon in Pokémon GO and want to bring them over to your adventure in Kanto? Awesome! It's pretty straightforward, but there are a few steps to get it done. We'll walk you through it.

First things first, you'll need to head to the GO Park Complex. Once you're there, find the receptionist at the back. They'll present you with a few options, but the one you're looking for to get your Pokémon over is “Bring Pokémon”.

After you select “Bring Pokémon”, you'll get to choose which of the 20 GO Parks you want to send your Pokémon to. Each park can hold up to 50 Pokémon, meaning you can store a massive 1000 Pokémon in total across all parks! Pick a park, and then the game will start searching for your Pokémon GO account.

Now, switch over to your phone and open up Pokémon GO. Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. You should see a little black Nintendo Switch icon in the top-right corner of your screen. Tap that, and you'll be able to see your Pokémon and choose which ones you want to send over to Let's Go.

Quick Tip: If you can't find a Pokémon you want to transfer, check if it's marked as a favorite. You'll need to un-favorite it before you can send it over.

Once you've picked your Pokémon, hit “Send to Nintendo Switch” at the bottom. Read through the confirmation messages carefully. Back in Let's Go, you'll be asked if you want to receive the Pokémon. Select “Yes”.

If everything goes smoothly, your chosen Pokémon will appear in the GO Park you selected! You'll also snag some candy and experience points in Pokémon GO. Plus, if this is your very first transfer, you'll even get the super handy Mystery Box in Pokémon GO!
