Hey there! So, you've made it to Route 22 in Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! It might seem a little strange that there are only 22 routes in the game, but don't worry, we'll be hitting up the rest of them soon enough. This route is actually the very last one before the Victory Road and the Pokémon League, but you won't be able to get through until you've collected all 8 Gym badges. Still, it's worth exploring for some new Pokémon and items!

As soon as you enter Route 22, you'll see a patch of tall grass right around the corner. Head through it and then go up towards the path heading west. Keep going past that path, and then carefully approach the bush on your left. If you search it with your partner Pokémon, you can find a handy Antidote. Always good to have one of those!

Now, head back down and follow the path west. Before you get too far, get ready for a surprise! Your rival is going to come charging in from behind and challenge you to another battle. Yep, he's ready for another round already!

Your rival's Pidgey is pretty low level at 3, so if your partner is Pikachu, a couple of Thunder Shocks should take care of it easily. If you're playing Let's Go, Eevee, your Eevee can still pack a punch, and most other Pokémon should be fine unless they're Grass-types. As for your rival's starter Pokémon, you can handle it pretty much the same way you did in Professor Oak's Lab. An extra level isn't going to make a huge difference now. Just remember, if your rival is using Pikachu, definitely keep your Pidgey and Spearow away from it!

After you show your rival who's boss, he'll take off, and you can continue exploring. Head further west and jump down the ledge to reach more tall grass. From here, you can go west to the gatehouse that leads to Victory Road. But remember, you can't go through there yet – you need all 8 Gym badges first! Once you're done exploring, jump off the ledge again and snag the 5 Poké Balls waiting for you in the corner. Nice!
