Take on Coach Trainer Morimoto in the GAME FREAK office for a tough battle! Get tips and strategies for his varied team in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee.
Alright, so you've made it back to the GAME FREAK office, and this time you're here to challenge Coach Trainer Morimoto! He's the battle programmer, so you know he's going to have a seriously diverse and challenging team ready for you. Don't underestimate him – this is a post-game battle, after all!
Walkthrough
- 1The Opponent: Coach Trainer Morimoto is waiting for you. He's got a full team of six Level 54 Pokémon.
- 2Morimoto's Team:
- 3Kangaskhan (Level 54, Normal): This is a tricky opener. It can use Fake Out to flinch you right away, Dizzy Punch for STAB and confusion, Sucker Punch to hit faster, and Outrage for big damage. If you have a Fighting-type Pokémon, now's the time to bring it out!
- 4Flareon (Level 54, Fire): His Eevee evolution hits hard. It's got Flare Blitz for STAB, Superpower and Double Kick to counter Rock-types, and Quick Attack to try and get the first hit. Water-types are your best bet here, but Ground-types can also work.
- 5Machamp (Level 54, Fighting): This powerhouse can dish out Superpower for STAB, Rock Slide to counter Flying-types, Poison Jab for Fairies, and Earthquake for consistent damage. Psychic-types are a solid choice, both offensively and defensively.
- 6Vaporeon (Level 54, Water): Another Eevee evolution, this one is bulky. It uses Hydro Pump for STAB, Blizzard to threaten Grass-types, Double Kick against Normal-types, and Quick Attack. Be prepared to take a hit; Electric-types are recommended to counter it.
- 7Jolteon (Level 54, Electric): This speedy Eevee evolution can hit hard with Thunder for STAB. It also carries Shadow Ball to surprise Psychic and Ghost types, plus the usual Double Kick and Quick Attack. Ground-types will absolutely shut this one down.
- 8Dragonite (Level 54, Dragon/Flying): The final threat is a formidable Dragonite. It has Dragon Pulse for STAB, and a dangerous mix of Blizzard, Fire Blast, and Thunder. Ice-types are highly recommended, but a strong Fairy-type can also get the job done.
Tips
- Focus on type matchups! Morimoto's varied team means you'll need to switch Pokémon strategically to get the advantage.
- Watch out for status conditions like confusion from Dizzy Punch or flinching from Fake Out.
- Don't forget about the post-game Pokédex quests! If you speak to the director below the roundtable after this battle, he'll want to see a complete Pokédex. Completing it (all 150 non-Mythical Pokémon) will earn you a special diploma and the Shiny Charm, which boosts Shiny Pokémon encounter rates.
- 10 PP Maxes
