Conquer the Pewter City Gym in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee! Learn about Brock's Geodude, trainer strategies, and how to get the Boulder Badge.

Alright, welcome to the first Gym in Pewter City! This is where you'll face Brock, the Gym Leader, and earn your very first badge. Before you get to him, though, you'll have to battle a couple of trainers. Don't underestimate them; they're a bit tougher than the wild Pokémon you've been facing.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Picnicker Amara: Your first opponent here is Picnicker Amara. She's got one Pokémon: a Level 7 Geodude. This Geodude is a Rock/Ground type, which means it's super weak against Grass and Water attacks. If you picked Bulbasaur as your starter, now's the perfect time to use it! If you don't have a Grass or Water-type, you might need to do a little training.
  2. 2
Camper Liam: Next up is Camper Liam. He's also rocking a Level 7 Geodude, identical to Amara's. This is a great chance to get some more experience for your Grass-type Pokémon. Keep using those Grass or Water moves to take him down easily.
Tips
  • Geodude is especially vulnerable to Grass and Water-type moves. Make sure you have a Pokémon that can exploit this weakness.
  • If you're struggling, don't be afraid to level up your Pokémon a bit more in the surrounding areas before challenging the trainers or Brock.
  • Boulder Badge (allows use of Flash outside of battle, and all Pokémon up to Level 20 will obey you)
  • TM34 (Bide)
