Walkthrough
- 1Enter Mt. Moon and head west to find a Potion on the west side, near the entrance.
- 2Continue west to find Bug Catcher blocking the path to 5 Great Balls. Defeat Bug Catcher Kent (Butterfree Lv. 7).
- 3Return to the entrance and follow the Team Rocket duo east. Defeat Lass Evelyn (Bellsprout Lv. 8).
- 4Go down the ladder past Evelyn to a short tunnel. Follow it southwest to another ladder.
- 5On Floor B2F (center), defeat the Team Rocket Grunt (Rattata Lv. 9).
- 6Head east and up the ramp to find a Rare Candy.
- 7Retrace your steps to Floor 1F. Head south, keeping west, to find Super Nerd Jovan (Grimer Lv. 10) and an Awakening to his left.
- 8Head east from Jovan to the far corner to pick up an Ether.
- 9Go north along the east-most passage, picking up a Repel along the way.
- 10In the north-east corner, go around the wall to your left and follow it south to find Youngster Robby (Mankey Lv. 8).
- 11Head back to the north-east corner and proceed west. Avoid Lass Miriam (Clefairy Lv. 8) by going around her when she's not looking, or battle her.
- 12After turning the corner, go down the ladders to another short tunnel, then down the next ladder to reach Floor B2F (north-east).
- 13Head east.

- Paras — Bug/Grass (Cave, 15%)
- Geodude — Rock/Ground (Cave, 34% on B2F, 40% on 1F-B1F)

Tips
- Grass-type attacks are only a quarter effective against Bug Catcher Kent's Butterfree. Pikachu or Charmander are ideal.
- Avoid using Pikachu's Thunder Shock against Lass Evelyn's Bellsprout, as it will only do halved damage. Fire and Flying-types are recommended.
- The Rare Candy instantly increases a Pokémon's Level by 1. Save it for later levels or for Magikarp to speed up its evolution.
- Eevee users don't need to worry about Youngster Robby's Mankey, as it doesn't know any Fighting-type moves. Flying-types are best, but any well-raised Pokémon should suffice.
- Clefairy is now a Fairy-type. Fighting-type moves are not effective, but Poison-types are.
- You can avoid Zubat by carefully walking around them.
