Sabrina's back with a vengeance in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee! Learn her team's weaknesses and the best counters to defeat her in this gym leader rematch guide.

Alright, you're facing Sabrina again in Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! She's still rocking that Psychic-type power, but this time around, it's part of the post-game trainer rematches, so expect her team to be a bit tougher. Don't sweat it though, we've got the lowdown on how to take her down.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Mr. Mime (Psychic/Fairy) - Weak to Poison, Ghost, Steel, Dark. Resists Fighting, Psychic. Immune to Dragon.
  • Slowbro (Water/Psychic) - Weak to Grass, Electric, Bug, Ghost, Dark. Resists Fire, Water, Ice, Psychic, Steel.
  • Hypno (Psychic) - Weak to Bug, Ghost, Dark. Resists Fighting, Psychic.
  • Jynx (Ice/Psychic) - Weak to Fire, Rock, Bug, Ghost, Steel, Dark. Resists Ice, Psychic.
  • Alakazam (Psychic) - Weak to Bug, Ghost, Dark. Resists Fighting, Psychic. Immune to Dragon.

Sabrina's Team Breakdown:

  1. Mr. Mime (Level 56, Psychic/Fairy): This guy is your opener, just like before. He's got Psychic for STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus), but now he also has a Fairy-type move, so be careful if you're relying solely on Dark-types. He also brings Reflect and Light Screen to boost his defenses. A Steel-type would be ideal here if you have one, otherwise, a strong Dark-type that can handle Fairy moves will do.
  2. Slowbro (Level 56, Water/Psychic): Don't let this one lull you into a false sense of security. Slowbro hits hard with Scald (which can burn you!) and Psychic for STAB. It also has Ice Beam to mess with Grass-types and Shadow Ball for general coverage. Dark-types are still good here, but Electric-types or even Grass-types (if they can take a Psychic hit) are solid alternatives.
  3. Hypno (Level 56, Psychic): Hypno can be a real pain with Hypnosis to put you to sleep, followed by Dream Eater to heal itself while damaging you. If you get put to sleep, wake up ASAP! It also has Thunder Punch and Fire Punch, which can be annoying for certain types. Dark-types are your best friends against Hypno.
  4. Jynx (Level 56, Ice/Psychic): Jynx is a bit of a mixed bag, similar to Slowbro. It uses Blizzard and Psychic for STAB, Shadow Ball to counter other Psychic-types, and Lovely Kiss to put you to sleep. Dark-types are great, but Fire-types can also pack a punch here. Steel-types are also a good defensive option.
  5. Alakazam (Level 57, Psychic): This is Sabrina's ace. Alakazam is super fast and hits like a truck with Psychic. It's got Shadow Ball to deal with other Psychics and Dazzling Gleam to surprise any Dark-types you might be using. It also has Tri Attack for good measure. The key here is that Alakazam is frail. If you can land a few solid hits quickly, you can take it down before it gets too many chances to attack. Sucker Punch is a fantastic move to use here since Alakazam is so fast.
Tips
  • Dark-types are generally your go-to for this fight, but be mindful of Alakazam's Dazzling Gleam.
  • If you don't have strong Dark-types, focus on Pokémon with high Attack or Special Attack stats and try to brute force your way through.
  • Status conditions like Sleep can be really disruptive, so carry some Full Heals or Full Restores, or have Pokémon that can resist or cure them.
  • Steel-types can be surprisingly effective against several of Sabrina's Pokémon, especially Mr. Mime and Jynx.
