Finding a Dark-type Pokémon: Dark Type Pokemon

To find Dark-type Pokémon in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, you'll need to travel to Cinnabar Island. This guide details the route to get there and the specific Pokémon trades and locations that will help you obtain these elusive types.

Route 21 Navigation:

1. Begin by heading south on Route 21 towards Cinnabar Island.
2. Navigate carefully between islands, paying attention to the positions of trainers like Roughnecks, Swimmers, Fishermen, and Sailors to avoid unnecessary battles.
3. As you approach an island with a Roughneck, slow down and be prepared to move left.
4. Continue south between an island with a Fisherman and one with a Sailor.
5. Further south, if you encounter a Swimmer who might see you, head west until out of sight before continuing south-east from an island with an item.
6. This path will lead you to the northern side of Cinnabar Island.

Cinnabar Island - Obtaining Dark-Types:

1. Head to the south side of Cinnabar Island and enter the Pokémon Center.
2. Speak to the Punk Guy in the top-right corner.
3. For Let's Go Pikachu players: He will trade an Alolan Grimer for your regular Grimer. You can find a regular Grimer in the Pokémon Mansion (north-west of Cinnabar Island) or the Power Plant.
4. For Let's Go Eevee players: He will trade an Alolan Meowth for your Kantonian Meowth. If you don't have a Kantonian Meowth, catch one on Route 24 or 25.
5. Once obtained, use a Rare Candy or level up your Alolan Grimer or Alolan Meowth once to evolve them into Alolan Muk or Alolan Persian, respectively.
6. Alolan Muk naturally knows Crunch and can learn Poison Jab (TM26 from Celadon City).
7. Alolan Persian can learn TM20 Dark Pulse from the Team Rocket Hideout.
