Mistralton Cave

Complete walkthrough for Mistralton Cave in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, including trainer battles, item locations, and puzzle solutions for navigating the dark cave.

As soon as you enter Mistralton Cave, you’ll notice how dark it is. Use Flash (obtained from Castelia City) to light up the cave. Move south from the entrance to find a boulder. Use Strength to push it two tiles east, then two tiles south into a hole. Proceed south down the steps.

Head east and battle the Hiker:

• Hiker's Boldore (Level 32, Rock)

Continue east and push the next boulder east into a hole. Proceed east until you reach a Veteran who states you cannot pass until you've beaten the Pokemon League. Head north up the stairs.

Go east down some steps to collect a Dusk Ball. Return up the stairs and head west to battle another Hiker:

• Hiker's Onix (Level 32, Rock/Ground)

Move west along the strip of land north of the stairs to find a Yellow Shard. Then, move west along the strip of land south of the stairs to find a Super Repel (use Dowsing MCHN). You can optionally push a boulder west into a hole for a shortcut. Head west down the stairs to the second floor.

Mistralton Cave 2F

From the entrance of the second floor, head north to battle an Ace Trainer:

• Ace Trainer's Tirtouga (Level 33, Water/Rock)
• Ace Trainer's Axew (Level 33, Dragon)

Return south and go down the stairs to the east. Push the boulder south using Strength until it falls into a hole. Move over it. Continue east past the stairs leading north. At the end of the path, check the rock to find a Green Shard.

Head back and go up the stairs. Head east to the stairs leading back down. Go down them, then head south and up the stairs leading west. Head south to the south wall, then follow the path west to find a Hyper Potion.

Backtrack and go down the stairs. Head north past the stairs you came from to battle another Ace Trainer:

• Ace Trainer's Archen (Level 33, Rock/Flying)
• Ace Trainer's Axew (Level 33, Dragon)

Continue north past the Ace Trainer and up the stairs. At the end of the path, grab the Blue Shard. Backtrack to the stairs, go down them, and follow the path left of the stairs around to a path leading south and a short path leading west. Use your Dowsing MCHN on the west path to find a hidden Ultra Ball.

Backtrack to the stairs (do not go south and jump the ledge). Head south of the Ace Trainer to the boulder. Push it west into a hole. Move over it and head west. Push the next boulder into its hole. You can now easily exit or head up the stairs to the third floor.

Mistralton Cave 3F

Head down the stairs to the west and go to the bottom-left corner of the room to find a Full Heal in the rock. Return to the entrance of this floor and head east. Go around the stairs leading north and take the path north of them to find TM80 - Rock Slide.

Backtrack to the stairs you bypassed and go up them. Grab the Escape Rope on the platform, then continue north and go down the stairs to the west. Move north and take the next set of stairs west. Immediately go south to the boulder and push it into the hole using Strength. Push the other boulder south into its hole, then go up the stairs to the west.

Speak with the old man, then head down the path behind him to find a Dragon Gem in the rock at the end. The path north along the western wall leads to an empty area where Cobalion was originally found.
