Your guide to the Pokemon World Tournament (PWT) area in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Find items like Ether, PP Up!, and Zinc, and learn about Move Tutors and useful stalls.
Alright, let's get you to the next Gym in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2! We're heading to the Pokemon World Tournament, or PWT for short. If you're coming from the west side, you can find an entrance to Relic Passage here, which also lets you loop back to Castelia City. If you want to explore Relic Passage, feel free to jump ahead to that section.
First things first, head south. Keep an eye on your Dowsing MCHN; when you reach a corner, it'll beep, indicating a hidden item nearby to your south. Follow its directions to snag a hidden Ether. Once you've got that, head back to the path and go east. You'll see three stalls along the way.
The stall furthest north on the path can tell you the Hidden Power type for a selected Pokémon. Down south of the path, the stall on the left lets your Pokémon relearn old moves they might have forgotten, and the stall next to it lets them forget any move. These are super handy, so use them if you need to!
Once you're all set, continue east towards the main Pokemon World Tournament building. You'll run into Hugh and Clay chilling outside. After a quick chat, you'll all head inside. Clay will chat with a trainer about the upcoming Driftveil Tournament, then head in himself, with Hugh right behind him. You'll need to enter eventually to keep the story moving.
Before diving into the tournament, there are a few more items to grab. Exit the building and head back to the intersection. Take the path south first, which leads to the docks. When you hit a T-junction, go west. At the very end of this dock, you'll find a PP Up!. Grab it, then return to the main intersection in front of the PWT building.
This time, take the path to the east. You'll find two more stalls here. The easternmost one has a Move Tutor who can teach Frenzy Plant, Hydro Cannon, or Blast Burn to any starter Pokémon from any generation. The westernmost stall teaches the Fire, Water, or Grass Pledge moves. Pretty cool!
Keep going to the end of this eastern path. There's a guy facing north; talk to him to get a Rocky Helmet. From there, head north past the fountain. Move west, and you'll spot two Vending Machines with bins on either side. Check the eastern bin to find some Zinc. That's all the essential stuff in this area!
If you're curious, you can always check out Relic Passage before you jump into the Driftveil Tournament inside the Pokemon World Tournament building.
