Route 20: To Gym

Your Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 walkthrough continues! Learn how to beat the Hiker, Preschooler, Nursery Aide, and Twins on Route 20 to reach the gym.

Alright, let's get you through Route 20 and ready to take on the gym! First things first, remember that Hiker who was blocking the path earlier? Head back to where he was standing. He's moved now, but as soon as you get close, he'll challenge you to a battle!

Trainer Battle: Hiker

Once you've shown the Hiker who's boss, you're free to head south down the steps. Down at the bottom, you'll run into a Preschooler. If you're not feeling up for another fight, you can try to sneak past when they're not looking. Otherwise, get ready!

After that battle, Cheren and Hugh will show up. Cheren's going to give you a quick rundown on how Dark Grass works, which is pretty neat. Once he's done explaining, he'll hand over 3 Pecha Berries before heading off.

Now, just south of where Hugh is standing in that dark grass, you'll find a Great Ball. Go ahead and snag it! You might want to hang out in the dark grass for a bit to catch some new Pokémon or get some extra training in. When you're all set, head back up the stairs to the northeast. But wait, another Preschooler is waiting for you!

Trainer Battle: Preschooler

After you've dealt with that Preschooler, head up the first set of stairs. Go to the right and straight into the grass. You'll find an item there – it's an Antidote. You can keep heading up these stairs, or you can loop back around to the western stairs and face the trainer there.

Trainer Battle: Nursery Aide

Once you're done with the Nursery Aide, go up the stairs to your right. You'll see an item to the north – grab it to get a Dire Hit. Then, head up the final set of stairs and turn right. Get ready, because your first Double Battle is just ahead! Walk up to the Twins and let them initiate the fight.
