- 1World 5 Overworld Map: The map shows levels 1 through 5, a Toad House (Red), and a Castle. A Warp Pipe replaces the arrow at the start of Special World 5, leading to its beginning.
- 2World 5-1:
- Start by grabbing a Boomerang Plant. Break the middle of three cacti for a coin.
- 3Use the boomerang to defeat two Pokies to the north-east. Collect their coins.
- 4Move left, underneath a ridge, to find a Warp Pipe in a gap in the wall. Enter it.
- 5Star Coin #1: Collect coins under and on brick blocks. From the left brick block, you can see and grab the Star Coin. The far-right brick block contains coins.
- 6Exit the area. Stomp the Tanooki Goomba and the two that jump down the steps.
- 7Go left down the side of the steps to find a P-Switch. Hit it and collect the appearing rainbow notes for a 1-Up.
- 8Go up the steps and move along the thin, balanced blue path.
- 9Safely navigate past Tanooki Thwomps by letting them thwomp and then jumping on them.
- 10Star Coin #2: Jump on the second Thwomp. Wait for it to move under the Star Coin, then jump up to grab it.
- 11Before the ramp, two Sandmaarghs will appear. Let them move under you, then jump away. Stomp them when their mouths close.
- 12Hit the Checkpoint Flag. Run across the cracked platform.
- 13On the moving platform, prepare for a Boomerang Bro. Stomp it before it throws boomerangs. Dodge the returning boomerang. Grab the Boomerang Plant if needed.
- 14Deal with the Sandmaargh that appears to the north, similar to the previous ones.
- 15Let four Spiked Balls roll past from the south edge.
- 16Jump through the red ring to reveal five red coins. Collect them in an anti-clockwise order while avoiding seven Spiked Balls.
