Part 86

In Part 86, move north and west to find a Goomba; stomp it for the final Star Coin.

Avoid turning your back on close Boos for too long; try to keep them on one side.

Move left and up the ramp, then onto the stack of books.

Wall jump off the 'bookcase' wall north of the book stack to reach a Blue Clock above.

Jump to the platform to your right.

Move south to the ? Block, hit it, and grab the Star Coin inside.

Defeat all the Boos to receive 1-Ups.

Move back onto the platform and enter the Warp Box on the north side.

You will warp outside; stand on the ground beneath the teleporting platform.

When the platform teleports beneath you and then to the highest point, take a running jump off the right edge onto the Goal Pole for a 1-Up.

Special 5-Castle Walkthrough: This is a Time Trial course. You start with 30 seconds and must collect more by stomping Goombas, with each stomp granting 10 additional seconds.

You begin by falling onto a Goomba, earning 10 extra seconds.

Hop up the steps and stomp the Goomba on the platform above.

Move north and jump onto the platforms floating south-west along the lava, being careful not to jump onto one about to sink.

Jump over the swinging Pole 'n' Chain as it swings underneath and move along the platforms, going against their movement.

Continue jumping over Pole 'n' Chains until you reach platforms moving north-east.

Jump onto these platforms and run north-east, jumping over two Pole 'n' Chains as needed.

Before the platform sinks, jump to the line of platforms to your north and immediately run north-east to avoid sinking.

Follow this path until you reach a solid platform and jump onto it.

Stomp the two Goombas there and wait for the wooden platform to drop if it's being pushed up by a lava geyser.

Jump onto the wooden platform, then the next platform.

Stomp the Goomba there and follow the path around, stomping the next Goomba.

Continue until you reach the end of the path.

Star Coin Alert! #1: Wait for a rotating chain platform to move underneath the Star Coin, which is south-west above them. Perform a running jump onto the platform, then immediately jump up to grab the Star Coin, and ride the platform north.

Before the chain platform sinks, take a running jump north-east onto its southern part.

Hop up the small ledge and jump over the gap, timing your jump to avoid Podoboos jumping out of the lava.

Stomp the Goomba on the other side and run left.

Wait for a platform to appear out of the lava and take a running jump onto it, then run along them.

Star Coin Alert! #2: Jump up to grab the Star Coin at the end of the platforms when you are almost underneath it, then land on the platform to your north. Jump quickly before the platform sinks into the lava.

Jump to the next platform and follow it to the end.

Stomp the Goomba and hop onto the wooden platforms, stomping the Goomba there.

Take a jump over the small gap to your right, timing it to avoid Podoboos jumping in a wave pattern.

Dry Bowser appears; run onto the floating platforms to the south and run north.

Run along the right line of platforms, staying to the edge to avoid Dry Bowser's fireballs.

Star Coin Alert! #3: Run and jump over gaps until you reach two brick blocks with the final Star Coin above them. Time your jump onto the brick blocks during a pause in fireballs. When you land on the brick blocks, you will automatically grab the Star Coin. Drop back down onto the platforms during a pause in fireball fire and continue running north.

When you reach the stable platform, run onto it and stomp the Goomba.

Run left and follow the path, stomping the Goomba at the corner and continuing.
