Walkthrough

This course is a Cosmic Clone course. A Clone will act as a delayed version of you, so don't backtrack or stand still for too long, or he will catch up.

  1. Move right, jumping over the Pole 'n' Chains. The Cosmic Clone will begin to follow.
  2. When you reach the Chain Chomp, lure him into attacking if you want coins from the ? Block.
  3. After he attacks, run into where he is tethered and jump to hit the ? Block. Five coins will spill out.
  4. Run and grab all coins, being careful not to collide with the Cosmic Clone.
  5. Continue on, running down the line of Pole 'n' Chains, jumping when necessary.
  6. Star Coin Alert! #1: Hit the ! Block three times, moving slightly between jumps so the Cosmic Clone won't hit you when he catches up. Jump up the platform blocks that appear. Grab the Star Coin at the top and frantically jump over the Cosmic Clone, landing on the first platform block. Timing is difficult; feel when to jump so you don't hit the Cosmic Clone running underneath. Drop down the platform blocks and continue.

  8. Grab the 1-Up, ensuring you don't get hit by a pole.
  9. Run up the stairs at the end and enter the door.

  16. Jump over the first Chain Chomp and hit the ? Block for a Fire Flower.
  17. Grab the Fire Flower and continue on.
