Master Part 59 of Super Mario Land with our detailed walkthrough, including tips for collecting Star Coins, defeating enemies like Prongo and Spiny, and reaching the Goal Pole.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Part 59 (Main Area): Break brick blocks and use wall jumps to ascend the cliff face. If you have Tanooki Mario, his hover ability can assist. Jump onto the rubber platform on the left side of the steps. Land on its far right corner and press 'A' to hit an invisible ? Block containing a Statue Leaf. Grab it and proceed up the stairs.
  2. 2
Crawl into the small hole on the raised platform ahead for a 1-Up. Jump right, move along the fence, and jump over the gap onto the rubber platforms. Jump across these platforms, collecting coins, and defeat the Prongo by luring it to dive, moving aside, and stomping its underside. Move left and jump onto the next set of rubber platforms.
  3. 3
Star Coin Alert! #2: Jump onto the second platform and wait for the moving platform to reach the right. Jump onto the moving platform and perform a large jump (press 'A' on landing) to reach the Star Coin. Continue jumping up the rubber platforms to the area above.
  4. 4
Beware of Prongos and grab the Super Star. Defeat all seven Prongos within the time limit to earn three 1-Ups. Move to the small lip at the center of the south edge of the area.
  5. 5
Star Coin Alert! #3: Position yourself at the edge of the lip and jump onto the block that appears to your south. Continue jumping on appearing blocks to reach the platform at the end and grab the Star Coin. Jump back to the main area.
  6. 6
Run to the far side and jump onto the yellow platform. Stand on its left side until it reaches its highest point, then take a running jump from the right side onto the Goal Pole for a 1-Up.
  7. 7
Special 1-2: This is the first Cosmic Clone Special World course. The Cosmic Clone copies your actions with a delay. Keep moving forward and avoid doubling back. You cannot defeat him by manipulating the environment; focus on playing the level.
  8. 8
Jump right past a Spiny. Hit the two ? Blocks to get a Fire Flower and coins. Avoid the Cosmic Clone. Continue right and jump onto the cracked blocks.
  9. 9
Star Coin Alert! #1: Run to the far side of the cracked block platform and grab the Star Coin. Run right and jump onto the next platform.
  10. 10
If you fall below the cracked blocks, you can return to the platform above by entering the Warp Pipe in the southeast corner or by wall jumping up the walls in the southwest corner.
  11. 11
Hit the Large ? Blocks. The second can be hit multiple times, but don't linger as the Cosmic Clone will catch up. Run past Spinies and over spiked blocks. You can crawl through small indents in the back walls, but it's time-consuming. Grab the Checkpoint Flag.
  12. 12
Run right, collect coins, and move through the archway.
  13. 13
Star Coin Alert! #2: Above the path of a Spiked Pole, jump up to grab the Star Coin, avoiding the Spiked Pole. Keep moving right.
  14. 14
Star Coin Alert! #3: Past a couple of Spinies, you'll reach a large chasm. Jump onto the rubber platform in the center of the southern side. Perform a large jump (press 'A' on landing) to the right to grab the final Star Coin. Land on the platform to your right and continue running.
Tips
  • Wall jumping is crucial for navigating the cliff face in the main area, especially without Tanooki Mario.
  • The Prongo can be defeated by timing your stomp to its underside after it dives.
  • The Super Star in the main area allows for a temporary invincibility to defeat multiple Prongos quickly.
  • In Special 1-2, focus on forward momentum to outpace the Cosmic Clone rather than trying to trick him.
  • Be mindful of the Spiked Pole's movement when collecting Star Coin #2 in Special 1-2.
  • The final Star Coin in Special 1-2 requires a well-timed large jump from the rubber platform.
