The Companion Dispatch System in Crimson Desert is a crucial passive gameplay mechanic. It allows you to send your Greymane companions on timed missions to gather resources, reduce enemy presence, expand your camp, and unlock rewards. These missions are vital for the Greymane Camp economy, providing materials for upgrades, construction, and research. Mastering this system early offers a significant advantage in resource accumulation and camp development.

The dispatch system is interconnected with the Liberation System, camp management, and companion recruitment. Dispatching companions to blockaded regions can weaken enemy resistance before liberation assaults, and successful dispatches improve companion morale and unlock new abilities.

How to Access and Unlock Dispatch Missions

The dispatch system unlocks after upgrading your Greymane Camp to level two and recruiting Ross, a logistics specialist. Ross establishes the Dispatch Coordinator station at your camp, which is the main interface for dispatch operations. Interact with Ross and select the "Dispatch" option to access the mission board, assign companions, view rewards, and track progress.

You can also access dispatch missions remotely via the world map. Open the map, hover over a camp or region icon, press the Inspect button, and navigate to the Missions tab in the location management interface. This allows you to assign companions without returning to camp, maintaining mission uptime.

Which Companions Can Be Dispatched

Not all companions are available for dispatch at all times. Companions in active combat roles, those accompanying you on main story quests, or those recovering from injuries cannot be dispatched. Core Greymane members like Oongka, Yann, Naira, and later recruits such as Damiane and Marius have unique specialization ratings that affect their effectiveness on different mission types. Oongka excels at combat missions, Yann at intelligence gathering and negotiation, Naira at reconnaissance and hunting, Damiane at mobility and aerial support missions, and Marius at construction and resource gathering missions.

Mission Types and Categories

Dispatch missions are divided into several categories:

• Resource Gathering: Harvest materials like wood, stone, ore, herbs, and food ingredients from specific regions. These are fundamental for camp construction, crafting, and cooking. Yield scales with the number of companions and their specialization ratings.
• Combat: Engage enemy forces in specific areas to reduce resistance and earn combat rewards such as weapons, armor, Abyss Gear cores, and silver coins. These missions prepare you for liberation assaults by lowering the enemy garrison strength.
• Intelligence: Gather information about enemy positions, hidden locations, and quest details. These missions can unlock new map markers, side quests, or reveal shortcuts and secret paths.
• Trade: Establish or maintain commercial connections with friendly settlements to generate passive silver income.
• Expansion: Directly contribute to upgrading the Greymane Camp by recruiting new settlers, gathering rare construction materials, or establishing supply lines. These are required for many camp upgrades.
