Familiar Curses is the 35th main mission in Crimson Desert, starting in the Hernand region at Howling Hill. You must have finished the previous main quest, Return of the Comrade, to begin. The quest requires you to investigate the House of Healing and then follow Yann. Rewards include the St. Halssius Priest Attire, St. Halssius Priest’s Cloack, St. Halssius Priest’s Leather Footwear, and St. Halssius Priest’s Hat.
Objectives:
- Investigate the House of Healing
- Follow Yann
Investigate the House of Healing
You can gain access to the House of Healing east of Hernand in multiple ways:
- Option 1 – Sneak in: Climb over roofs and sneak through grass, staying crouched to avoid detection by enemies. Civilians can see you, but enemies cannot.
- Option 2 – Church of Healing Pass: Approach the main marker and look left before the bridge to the House of Healing. Interact with a stranger to learn that the Church of Hernand sells passes. Travel to the church waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination), enter, and purchase the St. Halssius Visitor Pass from a shop on the left.
- Option 3 – Purchasing the Outfit: Cross the bridge, head right to the corner of the buildings, and speak to a man. Purchase the Halssius outfit for 10 Silver coins and equip it to gain access.
Once inside, proceed to the main building. On the second floor, go to the south wing, above the inner courtyard, and approach the man fighting patients in the hallway. If you snuck in, you can climb through windows from the inner courtyard to reach the second floor unseen.
Follow Yann
After Yann attacks, he will run away. Exit through the wooden door at the end of the hallway and follow him over the roof into a cottage. When he emerges, follow him again and board the Pywell Wagon to ride with him. Upon arriving at the Nas River Fishing Dock, dismount and head to the highlighted area to complete the quest.
