Secret at the Church Walkthrough

Follow the Secret at the Church walkthrough for Crimson Desert. Solve the puzzle box and activate the Pillar of Radiance.

Secret at the Church is the 68th main mission in Crimson Desert, starting in the Demeniss region during Chapter 5 – Guest Unbidden. You must have finished the previous main quest, Bloodwind, to begin.

Objectives:

1. Gather information at the orphanage
2. Obtain the church’s relic / Find the relic the nun mentioned
3. Activate the Pillar of Radiance

Start by searching the orphanage area. Interact with the house door in the northern section of the courtyard to trigger a cutscene.

Next, head south to the church. In the yard behind it, you will find a crypt. Descend the ladder inside and interact with a puzzle box on the altar. To solve the puzzle, press the 4 corner buttons so all symbols light up: press the top left, then bottom right, then bottom left, and finally the top right button. Take the Dagger of Radiance from the box.

Return to the Pillar of Radiance, located between the church and orphanage where the quest began. Look at it with the camera (Right Stick / RS / Mouse) and interact with it (Triangle / Y / E). The pillar will emerge from the ground, revealing a puzzle. Spin the discs to form an “eye” symbol. Press Square / X / Left Click to select which ring to spin and Circle / B / Space to spin it.
