Kliff Skills and How to Play

Learn how to play Kliff, Crimson Desert's protagonist and Greymane Leader. Master unarmed combat, spear, and dual-wielding for effective combos.

Kliff is the first playable character in Crimson Desert and the central protagonist. His journey begins as he sets out to gather his scattered comrades and restore the Greymanes. His voice actor is Alec Newman. Kliff starts with the Sword of the Wolf and the Grey Wolf Wooden Shield.

How to Play Kliff:

  • Weave unarmed combat skills into weapon combos to deal more stagger damage, making it easier to open up bosses for attacks. Unarmed combat skills include Lariat, Pump Kick, and Meteor Kick.
  • Use the Spear as a secondary weapon, especially when punishing bosses. The Quick Swap skill allows for seamless use of the Spear.
  • Dual wield one-handed weapons for faster attacks and more DPS. Swap the shield from the weapon wheel for any one-handed weapon. Weapon combinations are not limited by type as long as both are one-handed.
  • Take advantage of exclusive skills like Force Palm and Axiom Force, which are efficient for traversal and can create openings in combat.

Kliff Skills:

Kliff has access to three distinct skill trees: Stamina, Spirit, and a third unnamed tree for exploration, puzzles, and unnatural feats.

Stamina Tree

  • Armed Combat: Forward Slash, Shield Bash, Turning Slash, Stab, Spinning Slash, Blinding Flash, Blinding Flash Finisher.
  • Marksmanship: Charged Shot, Multishot, Evasive Shot.
  • Grappling: Clothesline, Body Slam.
  • Unarmed Combat: Pump Kick, Dropkick, Vault, Tactical Stab, Flying Punch, Iron Fists, Tiger's Fury, Roundhouse Kick.

The Stamina tree upgrades weapon combinations and unarmed combat, providing more options for seamlessly mixing unarmed combat with weapon attacks.

Spirit Tree

  • Force Palm: Force Palm, Focus, Focused Force Palm, Force Current, Diving Force Palm.
  • Nature: Nature's Grasp, Nature's Echo.
  • Keen Senses: Keen Senses, Evasive Roll, Double Jump.
  • Focused Shot: Focused Shot, Force Palm Pulse.

The Spirit tree grants abilities for exploration and combat.
