The Man Trapped in the Mire Walkthrough

Follow The Man Trapped in the Mire walkthrough for Crimson Desert. Obtain x1 Standard Inventory Expansion Tool and defeat bandits.

The Man Trapped in the Mire is the 22nd main mission in Crimson Desert, found in the Hernand region at Springtide Mill. It is part of Chapter 2 – Golden Greed, under the sub-chapter Hernand in Chaos. You must have finished the previous main quest, Where Misery Gathers, to begin.

Objectives:

1. Speak with the enraged man
2. Read the memory on the mysterious horn thief
3. Find the stolen item
4. Return to Ibano

First, head to the objective marker given at the bounty board to find and speak with Ibano.

Next, travel East to the next destination marked on the map. Defeat the three bandits at the location. Use your lantern ( /:lb) to find memory fragments. After learning the “Hornless Goat” memory, view it from the right sidebar or manually from your inventory via the Visione helmet.

On a rock at the campsite, you will find and pick up a ‘Mysterious Elixir’.

Finally, return to Ibano, who will have moved to a farm in Hernand. Approaching him will trigger a cutscene, ending the quest.
