Where the Light Leads Walkthrough

Follow the Crimson Desert Where the Light Leads walkthrough. Defeat bandits at Lioncrest Watchtower and ascend to find the Visione Helmet.

This walkthrough covers the 14th main mission in Crimson Desert, "Where the Light Leads," which begins in the Hernand region during Chapter 2 – Golden Greed, Sub-Chapter Unexpected Gift. You must have finished the previous main quest, "Woman in White," to start. The reward for completing this quest is x10 Arrows. The quest description states: "Rulupee’s lost pendant began to shine shortly after returning from the mysterious world of the Abyss."

Objectives:

1. Go to Lioncrest Watchtower
2. Defeat the bandits occupying Lioncrest Tower
3. Ascend Lioncrest Watchtower

Go to Lioncrest Watchtower

Locate the marker on your map, which may be in a foggy area, and proceed towards it. The objective will update once you are sufficiently close.

Defeat the bandits occupying Lioncrest Watchtower

You will encounter approximately 10 enemies in the Watchtower's courtyard. Prioritize eliminating the archers by using light attacks (Square / X / Left Click) or heavy attacks (Triangle / Y / Right Click). Light attacks do not consume stamina, while heavy attacks do and are more effective against shielded enemies.

If you are defeated, you can revive at the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) located directly in front of the watchtower. For assistance, you can backtrack to Hernand to purchase meat from the vendor and consume it to restore health.

Ascend Lioncrest Watchtower

After regaining control of Kliff, move forward slightly. You will be instructed to use a Fire Arrow on the shrubbery blocking the door. To do this, press and hold the button to draw back an arrow. While holding it, aim the arrow's tip at one of the nearby torches to ignite it. Once the tip is visibly burning, shoot it at the shrubbery to clear the path.

Alternatively, you can ignite objects using Focused Light ( L1 + R1 / LB + RB / Ctrl + Shift; hold L1 + R1 / LB + RB / Ctrl + Shift). Another method to bypass this objective is to climb to the tower's summit and enter through the open roof. You can perform extended climbs by using three mid-air boosts: jump and press Square / X / Left Click three times to propel yourself upwards. You can also rest on window sills around the tower to recover stamina.

Regardless of the method chosen, you must reach the top floor of the tower and acquire the Visione Helmet. Interacting with the helmet will immediately trigger the next quest, "Memory Fragment."
