Walkthrough

    Return to Paniola Town and speak with Kiawe’s father in the house west of the Pokemon Centre to receive a Protector.

    Travel to Route 8 and find Colress near the Aether trailer on the north side. He will give you the Douse Drive, Shock Drive, Burn Drive, and Chill Drive for Genesect.

    Go to Mallow’s family restaurant in Konikoni City (south of Olivia’s shop). Speak to the Team Skull Grunt by the stairs to receive a Whipped Dream and a Sachet.

    Locate the Game Freak offices on the middle floor of the building between the Heahea City Pokemon Centre and the Dimensional Research Lab.

    On the west side of the Game Freak offices, challenge Morimoto to a battle. His team consists of: Kangaskhan (Level 62, Normal), Flareon (Level 62, Fire), Jolteon (Level 62, Electric), Vaporeon (Level 62, Water), Machamp (Level 62, Fighting), and Dragonite (Level 62, Dragon/Flying).

    Upon defeating Morimoto for the first time, you will receive the Oval Charm. You can challenge him once per day thereafter.

    On the east side of the Game Freak offices, speak to the Director. If you have caught all 300 Pokemon in the Alola Pokedex (excluding Mythical Pokemon), he will award you the Shiny Charm.
Tips
  • When battling Morimoto, use Fighting-type moves against Kangaskhan and Machamp. Water-type special attackers are effective against Flareon. Ground-types are strong against Jolteon. Physical attackers are recommended for Vaporeon. Psychic-types can be useful against Machamp if they can withstand hits. Ice-type moves are essential for a 4x damage bonus against Dragonite, but be wary of its Multiscale ability.
