Hey there! So, you've got the full Pokémon Sun and Moon game, awesome! Before you dive in, there's a little bonus you might want to snag if you haven't already. It's the free Pokémon Sun and Moon Special Demo, available on the Nintendo eShop. You don't *have* to play it, but trust me, it's worth it for what you can bring over to your main game.

The big prize here is the exclusive Ash-Greninja. Seriously, at the time of writing, there's no other way to get this specific Greninja in the main game. It's a really cool novelty, and honestly, a pretty solid partner to have early on.

What makes Ash-Greninja special? It's got the unique 'Battle Bond' ability. This means after it defeats one Pokémon in battle, it transforms into its super-powered Ash-Greninja form! Regular Greninja can't get this ability; they usually have Torrent or Protean. So, yeah, Ash-Greninja is pretty unique.

You'll also get some other useful items from the demo, which are super handy when you're just starting out and money and good gear are a bit scarce. Every little bit helps, right?

To transfer Ash-Greninja and any items you've unlocked, just head to a Pokémon Center in your full Sun or Moon game and talk to Professor Kukui. Make sure you have both the Special Demo save file and your main game save file accessible on the same 2DS/3DS system.

Heads up though: Because Ash-Greninja technically belongs to Ash, it acts like a traded Pokémon. This means it won't listen to you until you've beaten the second grand trial. After that, any Pokémon at Level 50 or below will obey you, including Ash-Greninja!
