Malie City: Ulaula Island

Hau’s Pikachu has evolved into an Alolan Raichu, which is now Electric/Psychic type and weak to Dark, Bug, Ghost, and Ground moves. He also has an Eevee evolution that is strong against your starter Pokemon. To counter his starter Pokemon, send out your own starter Pokemon. His starter does have a matching Z-Crystal.

After the battle, your Rotom Pokedex will inform you that another island Pokedex has been added. You are now free to explore the area around Malie Garden. Heading east from Malie Garden leads to Ula’ula Island’s ferry terminal. From the ferry terminal, you can book passage back to Heahea City or Aether Paradise. You can also use Charizard Glide to return to Heahea City. In the north-east corner of the ferry terminal building is a vending machine selling Soda Pop three times.

West of the ferry terminal is the Pokemon Centre of Malie City. Inside, the Poke Mart clerk on the right is selling TMs for 10,000 Poke Dollars each. Near the cafe area, a child claims to have received a Mewtwo from Wonder Trade, which is likely hacked.

Outside the Pokemon Center, continue west along the main road until you reach a pedestrian crossing. Attempting to go west from here will result in Lillie blocking your path. Instead, head north to find the entrance to Malie Garden, where Professor Kukui is waiting.
