Hey there! Before you dive headfirst into the main adventure of Pokémon Sun and Moon, there's a little something extra you might want to check out. It's called the Special Demo, and it's totally free on the Nintendo eShop. If you haven't already, it's worth grabbing!

Now, you don't *have* to play the demo to enjoy the full game, but doing so lets you bring some cool stuff over. The big prize is the exclusive Ash-Greninja. Plus, depending on how much you play through the demo, you can snag a bunch of other useful items.

These demo items can be super handy right at the start of your main journey when you're short on cash and supplies. But honestly, the real star is Ash-Greninja. As of now, it's the only way to get this special form, making it a pretty unique addition to your team, even if just for the novelty.

What makes this Greninja so special? It's got the 'Battle Bond' ability. This means after it knocks out an opponent, it can transform into its super-powered Ash-Greninja form! Regular Greninja usually have 'Torrent' or 'Protean' abilities, and they just can't get Battle Bond, so this is a big deal.

To get Ash-Greninja and any items you've unlocked into your main Sun or Moon game, just chat with Professor Kukui at any Pokémon Center. Make sure you have your main game save file ready on the same 2DS or 3DS system as the Special Demo.

Heads up: Since Ash-Greninja technically belongs to Ash and not you, it acts like a traded Pokémon. This means it won't listen to your commands until you've beaten the second Grand Trial. After that, any Pokémon at Level 50 or below will follow your orders perfectly.
