Trainers' School

Learn how to navigate the Trainers' School in Pokémon Sun and Moon, find and battle four trainers, and get the Exp. Share with this walkthrough guide.

The Trainers' School is located by the entrance of Hau'oli City. Exit Kukui's lab, head north to Route 1, and then west along the dirt path. Follow the red flag on the bottom screen if you get lost. The path will lead to tarmac, where you'll find Lillie outside the Pokemon Centre. Approach her for a tour.

Pokemon Centres are found all over Alola, typically in towns or before dangerous areas. They contain a Nurse to heal your party for free, a PC for organizing Pokemon, a Poke Mart for buying items like potions and Poke Balls, and a cafe area for drinks and occasional free snacks and Poke Beans.

After the tour, Lillie heads to the Trainers' School. You can explore the Pokemon Centre's facilities. New menu options unlocked include:

• Quick Link: Connect with nearby players for single/double battles or trades.
• Festival Plaza: Transport to a festival run by Sophocles with unique facilities and interactions.
• QR Scanner: Scan QR codes to earn points for an Island Scan, which can reveal rare Pokemon.
• Battle Video: Access saved battle recordings from Battle Spot, Battle Tree, etc., for review or sharing.

Leave the Pokemon Centre and follow the tarmac west. You'll find Lillie outside the Trainers' School entrance. Follow her inside.

Kukui, Lillie, and an unidentified person will welcome you. Your objective is to find and battle four Pokemon trainers within the school.

Professor Kukui gives you the Exp. Share, a key item that allows all Pokemon in your party to gain experience from battles, even if they don't participate.

Lillie can heal your Pokemon for free at any time. To find the trainers:

1. From the entrance, head east along the wall. Near the parking bays, search above the railing near the corner to find a hidden Poke Ball.
2. Continue north, following the wall. In an area with short grass, pick up the Potion next to a palm tree.
3. At the end of this path, you'll find a girl with a tennis racket standing by an incinerator. This is Youth Athlete Hiromi, one of the trainers.

• Pokemon: Pikipek (Level 8, Normal/Flying)

After defeating Hiromi, head back to where the tarmac begins and go west along the front of the school building. Pass the front entrance and go down into the courtyard. There's a trainer here who will only battle after you've defeated the other three. Inspect the middle of the Poke Ball pattern on the floor to find an unseen Great Ball. In the bottom-left corner, find a visible Potion.
