Battle Level 75 Necrozma in pokemon sun moon and explore the alternate world. Learn how to catch Cosmog and find Zygarde Cells.

Necrozma is a Level 75 Psychic-type Legendary Pokemon that is part of a trio with Solgaleo and Lunala. While not as strong as the other two, it can still be a formidable opponent. Its signature move, Prismatic Laser, deals significant damage but requires a recharge turn afterward, similar to Hyper Beam. Its other attack, Wring Out, inflicts more damage on foes with higher HP. Necrozma can also use Stealth Rocks to damage switching Pokemon and Iron Defence to boost its Defense stat.

To access the alternate world, you need Solgaleo or Lunala in your party. If you have both, you can access the alternate world at any time. Otherwise, access depends on the current time of day in your game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
To find the alternate world, return to the Altar of the Sunne/Moone (where you battled Solgaleo or Lunala). You will notice an eerie distortion towards the far end.
  2. 2
If you have Solgaleo or Lunala in your party, you can pass through this distortion into the alternate world. The time of day in this world is shifted by 12 hours compared to your original world.
  3. 3
In the alternate world, head to the Lake of the Sunne/Moone. With Solgaleo (in Pokemon Sun) or Lunala (in Pokemon Moon) in your party, you will find the Legendary Pokemon Cosmog at the very end.
  4. 4
Cosmog is initially helpless and needs to be leveled up. Give it the Lucky Egg from Professor Kukui and use the Exp. Share for easy experience gain. Alternatively, use Poke Pelago's Isle Evelup.
  5. 5
Cosmog evolves into Cosmoem at Level 43, and then into Solgaleo (in Pokemon Sun) or Lunala (in Pokemon Moon) at Level 53.
  6. 6
You can trade your spare Solgaleo or Lunala, or even Cosmog or Cosmoem, to a player of the other version to obtain both legendary Pokemon with your trainer ID.
Tips
  • A Dark-type Pokemon is recommended to withstand Necrozma's Prismatic Laser, and a Ghost-type Pokemon is recommended to withstand Wring Out. Be cautious not to KO Necrozma with super-effective damage.
  • Applying a status affliction like Paralysis (lasts the whole battle) or Sleep (improves catch rate) to Necrozma as soon as possible is advised.
  • The alternate world's time shift is useful for catching Pokemon or finding Zygarde Cells that only appear during specific times of day.

Catching Necrozma, accessing the alternate world, and obtaining Cosmog (which evolves into Solgaleo or Lunala).
