pokemon sun moon Malie Garden walkthrough: find Grassy Seed, Zygarde Cell (33), and battle trainers like Sightseer Mitch and Ailey.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering Malie Garden, you will encounter Hau, who blocks the northern bridge. Head east from the entrance along the dirt path.
- 2Proceed up the steps towards a small pagoda. A tourist, Sightseer Mitch, is looking around. You can sneak past him if you are in a hurry.
- 3Sightseer Mitch's Pokemon: Persian (Level 27, Normal) and Marowak (Level 26, Ground). Regular Persian is weak to Fighting-type moves. Standard Marowak is weak to Water, Grass, Ice, or Flying-type moves.
- 4Head north into the tall grass. On the other side, keep to the west to avoid most of the next patch of tall grass. In the far corner, past a grass mound, you will find a Grassy Seed.
- 5Return to the entrance and head west. After the first patch of tall grass, approach the trainer circling the lamp to the north-west: Preschooler Ailey.
- 6Preschooler Ailey's Pokemon: Cleffa (Level 26, Fairy). This Pokemon is weak to Poison or Steel-type moves and may use Sweet Kiss.
- 7Head to the south-west corner of the area, through the tall grass, to find a Luxury Ball.
- 8From the Luxury Ball, head north, then follow the dirt path north-east to a water-logged bridge. A trainer is blocking the way.
- 9Continue north past the lamp. Search the base of the tree for a hidden Rare Bone.
- 10Head north through the tall grass west of this tree. On the other side, cross the bridge to the north-east.
- 11You will reach another small pagoda. Follow the narrow, winding path south-east to reach the other side of the garden. Hau is still by the bridge.
- 12In the north, on the east side, is the tea area. If you want to advance the story, head to the south-west corner of the tea area where Professor Kukui is waiting.
- 13Otherwise, head north-west from the tea area. Pick up the forgotten Rage Candy Bar by the parasol in the north-west corner of the tea area.
- 14From the Rage Candy Bar, head north-west along a narrow plank bridge. After crossing the first bridge, you will encounter a trainer: Sightseer Akali.
- 15Sightseer Akali's Pokemon: Raticate (Level 26, Normal) and Raichu (Level 27, Electric). Normal Raticate is weak to Fighting-type moves. Regular Raichu is weak to Ground-type moves.
- 16Across the second bridge, you will find a short row of tall grass, followed by a thick area of tall grass. Continue to the far end to find a Zygarde Cell (33).
- 17Return to just before the first plank bridge and proceed north-east. Wade through the tall grass at the far end to reach the base of the large pagoda, where a Big Mushroom is on the floor.
- 18Once you have collected everything, head back to the tea area and speak with Professor Kukui.

Tips
- * indicates Alolan form.
- Sightseer Mitch's regular Persian is a Normal-type, so Fighting moves are effective. His Marowak is a Ground-type, making Water, Grass, Ice, or Flying moves good choices.
- Preschooler Ailey's Cleffa is a Fairy-type baby Pokemon. Poison or Steel-type Pokemon are effective. Beware of its Sweet Kiss.
- Sightseer Akali's regular Raticate is a Normal-type, weak to Fighting moves. Her Raichu is an Electric-type, weak to Ground-type moves.
- The Zygarde Cell (33) is your first one on Ula'ula Island.
- Stoutland's help would be useful for finding the hidden Rare Bone without a guide.
