Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for Trial 2 in Pokémon Sun and Moon, covering Brooklet Hill, trainer battles, item locations, and how to use Lapras Paddle.
Walkthrough
- 1Head west down the stairs and meet Captain Lana. Follow her west across the plank bridge.
- 2On the other side, head south to find a Net Ball.
- 3Chat to the fisherman on the right to battle Fisherman Ernest (Barboach Lv. 16, Goldeen Lv. 17). Barboach is weak to Grass-type moves (4x effective).
- 4Continue west, up the stairs, and follow the path south through tall grass. Search the east side of the path, in an area with no grass, for a hidden Elixir.
- 5At the end of the tall grass, continue south to meet Lana again. She will give you the Lapras Paddle, allowing you to traverse the lake.
- 6Before calling Lapras, follow the water’s edge west to find a X Sp. Attack and battle Backpacker Mikoko (Fletchling Lv. 17). Fletchling is weak to Electric or Rock-type moves.
- 7Follow the water’s edge east, past Lana, and head west across wooden planks to battle Fisherman Herbert (Poliwag Lv. 17). Poliwag is weak to Electric or Grass-type moves.
- 8Get on the water using Lapras Paddle (press Y near the water and select Lapras Paddle).
- 9Ride Lapras west from the fisherman, towards the splashing in the center of the lake. Enter the splashing to encounter and battle a Wishiwashi.
- 10After the battle, head south-west on Lapras to the other side of the lake.
- 11After landing, head west to pick up a Revive. There is also a Photo Spot here.
- 12Follow the path east, down the slope and through tall grass.
- 13Between the tall grass patches, search for a hidden Max Repel.
- 14Continue south through the tall grass to another lake where Lana is waiting.
- 15Call Lapras and paddle south-west to the splashing. Encounter and battle another Wishiwashi.
- 16After the battle, head south-east to a secluded path.
- 17At the far end, beyond the tall grass, find TM55 Scald.
Tips
- When battling Fisherman Ernest, remember Barboach is part Ground-type, making Electric-type moves ineffective. Grass-type moves are 4x effective.
- Lapras Paddle allows you to travel on water. You can set a D-Pad shortcut for it.
- TM55 Scald can inflict Burn, a status ailment that cripples physical attackers.
