You’ve officially made it to Hau’oli City, the largest city in Alola. There’s a lot to see, so relax and take it easy. You’ll start off in the Beachfront area.

Walkthrough

Follow the road north along the east pedestrian path. Speak to the lady halfway up for a free Potion.

Go west across the road. Next to the yellow truck, use the concrete slope to reach the beach.

On the beach, run north towards the palm trees. Search north-west of the north-most palm tree for a buried Fresh Water.

Stroll south on the beach. Before the south-most slope, inspect the palm tree to the right of the sunbathing woman to find a hidden Pearl.

Continue south from the sunbed. Past the southern slope, pick up the glimmering item to find a Poke Ball.

Return to the main street and follow it north to exit the Beachfront.

In the Shopping District, Hau will lead you to the Tourist Bureau to get a Poke Finder.

In the bottom-left corner of the Shopping District, talk to a researcher who needs help catching 10 different Pokémon species. You'll receive 10 Ultra Balls as a reward.

A local will direct you to a nearby Photo Spot (a cracked wall right of the Tourist Bureau). Use the Poke Finder (R button) when you see the camera icon.

Cross the road and open the red gate to find tall grass. At the far end is another gate, currently inaccessible.

Follow the main road to the apparel shop. Lillie will give you a Lens Case or Makeup Bag, allowing you to change eye/lip color in dressing rooms.

Visit the apparel shop to buy clothes and use the dressing room in the top-left corner.

Outside the apparel shop, talk to a woman to receive a Silk Scarf, which boosts the power of Normal-type moves.

To the left of the apparel shop is the salon, where you can change hairstyle and hair color.

Return to the main road, hug the left side opposite the closed mall. Open the red gate and run through the tall grass to the bottom-most corner to find a hidden Stardust.

Return to the main road. Follow it to Hau’oli City’s Pokemon Centre. Speak to the person outside for a free Heal Ball.

Inside the Pokemon Centre, speak to the lady left of the cafe. Catch a Drifloon in Hau’oli Cemetery and return for 10,000 Poke Dollars.

Below the Poke Mart is the Move Deleter, who can erase Pokémon moves.

Tips

The Beachfront has several hidden items, including a Potion, Fresh Water, Pearl, and Poke Ball.
The Shopping District offers various services like clothing shops, a salon, and the Poke Mart.
The researcher in the Shopping District offers a good reward for catching diverse Pokémon species.
Remember to use the Poke Finder at designated Photo Spots.
The Move Deleter's services are less crucial in Sun and Moon due to the removal of HMs.
