I've got a few methods that'll help you farm them up. Let's dive in!

Method 1 - Fishing

You know how sometimes when you fish, you get an item instead of a Pokémon? Well, a Bottle Cap is one of those rare treasures! If you find a bubbling spot while fishing, there's a small chance you'll snag one. The best place to do this is right outside the boat in Seafolk Village. You can actually reset the bubbling spot really quickly by just entering and exiting the boat. It's not the fastest way, but it's super accessible and a decent way to start farming them.

Method 2 - Poké Pelago and Shards

Poké Pelago is more than just a place to chill your Pokémon; it's also an item farm! There's a specific cave where your Pokémon can go exploring and bring back all sorts of goodies. While some of the items are pretty meh, others, like evolutionary stones, are great. There's even a route that focuses solely on finding colored Shards. These Shards are the only way to get them in the game, and while they might not seem useful at first, there's an NPC in Festival Plaza who loves them. If you collect 30 Shards of the same color, he'll trade you a Bottle Cap! Keep in mind, Poké Pelago relies on real-world time passing, so the fastest you can get Shards is every 12 hours. You can speed things up a bit with Poke Beans, but it still takes patience. Make sure you keep track of your Shards!

Method 3 - Festival Plaza Abuse

Alright, this one's a bit weird, but it totally works, so let's just roll with it! If you've got some Festival Coins (FC) to spare, you can actually farm Bottle Caps pretty rapidly by messing with the Festival Plaza. You'll need a friend who can offer you the Treasure Hunt 2\* facility. It HAS to be 2 extit{, not 3 extit{, 4 extit{, or 5 extit{! Buy it for 100 FC (if it's your first time buying it) and then immediately use it. Your first prize from this specific Treasure Hunt is guaranteed to be a Bottle Cap. After you grab your cap, find another friend or guest who has a different 1 extit{ facility you don't own yet, and swap out Treasure Hunt 2 extit{ for that one for 50 FC. Then, immediately install Treasure Hunt 2 extit{ again. You just keep repeating this process! Getting a Bottle Cap this way costs about 100 FC for the first one, and then 150 FC for each one after that. If you've earned a bunch of FC from Global Missions, this is a fantastic way to spend them!
