    Find Lillie south of the entrance to Malie Garden; she will invite you to Malie Library.

    Explore west along the road, passing two yellow trucks and a Hariyama cutout board.

    Enter the malasada shop to the left of the first street leading north to order Spicy or Bitter malasada to boost Pokémon Happiness.

    Head west of the malasada shop to another street leading north.

    Visit the Sushi High Roller food place on the corner of the road to order a meal for 4,000 Poké Dollars and receive 4 Heart Scales.

    Walk directly west towards the bookshelves and inspect the green book poking out on the bottom-most shelf to find an old photograph.

    Head to the north-east corner of the bookshelves and speak to Samson Oak to receive a Love Ball if you bring him an Alolan Persian.

    Go up the staircase to the next floor and receive a history lesson about Alola's Legendary Pokémon from Lillie.

    Head to the south-west corner of this floor, near the balcony. Find Totem Sticker #056 on the bottom-right pillar supporting the roof.

    Head east along the corridor and enter the first room on the right (weather class). Speak to the lady giving the lesson and answer her questions with Damp Rock, Icy Rock, Heat Rock, Smooth Rock to receive those four items.

    Remove Totem Sticker #057 from the back wall of the weather class, behind the Probopass.

    Enter the room at the end of the corridor and approach the dealer on the right to initiate a Pokémon battle.
