How to Level Up Quickly

Discover the fastest ways to level up in Pokémon USUM, including Elite Four grinding, Chansey/Blissey chaining, and using Rare Kitchen for 4,500 FC.

There are several effective methods to level up your Pokémon quickly in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Method 1 - Poké Pelago

This is a hands-free approach where you can place up to 18 Pokémon in Isle Evelup. Set them for 99 rounds of playing with the proper drink, optionally using Poke Beans to speed it up. Continue this process by selecting “Play Longer” once they are done.

Method 2 - Elite Four Grinding

Rematching the Elite Four offers the highest level trainers (Level 66 Pokémon) for consistent battles. Activate Rotom Power to boost Experience Point gain and ensure the Exp. Share item is on. Ideally, have all Pokémon hold Lucky Eggs. This method is also good if you need cash; use the Amulet Coin if you are focused on leveling while others tag along. If money is not a concern, this can become slow.

Method 3 - Chansey and Blissey Chaining

This is the most cost-effective fast leveling method when combined with Exp. Share, Rotom Power, and Lucky Eggs. Go to Poni Plains and start an S.O.S. Chain with Chansey. Use False Swipe to leave Chansey with 1 HP and no status condition. Wait for it to call for help and have a Pokémon that can knock out the summoned Pokémon in one hit. Since Chansey and Blissey have low Defense, basic physical moves are effective. To manage PP, wait for Chansey to summon another Chansey (not a Blissey), then defeat the first Chansey. The second Chansey will continue calling for help. Chansey and Blissey have the highest base Experience Values.

Method 4 - Festival Plaza and Rare Kitchen

This is technically the fastest method but requires significant preparation and cost. You need two 5-star Rare Kitchen facilities, which can be obtained through luck with Sophocles or purchased for 4,500 FC. Your Festival Plaza must be at least Rank 30 to unlock all Rare Kitchen items. This can only be done once per day.

First, power level your target Pokémon to exactly Level 66 using wild Pokémon on Poni Island if necessary, ensuring Exp. Share is off if you are near the Elite Four. Then, order a Rare Dinner at your first Rare Kitchen to reach Level 73. Order another Rare Dinner at your second Rare Kitchen to reach Level 80. Next, order a Rare Buffet at your first Rare Kitchen to reach Level 89. Finally, order another Rare Buffet at your second Rare Kitchen to reach Level 98. You can then use two Rare Candies or finish with Pokémon battles to reach Level 100.
