Alright, so you've been poking around Big Wave Beach, and now it's time to head back towards Route 2. But wait! You hear some noise up north – classic Team Skull, right? They're causing trouble in what looks like Sandy Cave.

Walkthrough

    As you try to leave Big Wave Beach for Route 2, you'll hear some commotion from the north. Follow the sound to find Team Skull hanging out in Sandy Cave.

    Inside, you might run into some wild Pokémon. Keep an eye out for Zubat (Poison/Flying, 70% encounter rate) and Psyduck (Water, 30% encounter rate).

    You'll have your second run-in with a Team Skull Grunt. He's got a Level 9 Drowzee. Be careful, because Drowzee knows Hypnosis, which can put your Pokémon to sleep. If that happens, use an Awakening to wake them up. Dark-types are your best bet here, but really, anything that isn't Poison or Fighting should do okay.

    After you defeat the Grunt, he'll run off, leaving you with a Fresh Water as a reward.

    Now, head back towards the BP shops. You'll notice a slope just above them that's now accessible. Climb up it and follow it south. This leads you to a hidden part of the beach on the east side.

    Go south-east on the sand, heading towards two palm trees. On the left side of the bottom palm tree, you can find a hidden Soda Pop.

    Just west of there, you'll find a trainer with a Pyukumuku. If you're feeling it, you can interact with the Pyukumuku like you did with the Rockruff back on Route 1.

    Finally, grab the White Herb stashed in the far corner before heading back to Route 2.
Tips
  • If your Pokémon get put to sleep by the Drowzee's Hypnosis, don't forget to use an Awakening item to cure them.
  • Dark-type Pokémon are super effective against Psychic-types like Drowzee, so lead with one if you have it!
  • Keep an eye out for hidden items; this area has a couple of good ones like Soda Pop and White Herb.
