Follow our detailed walkthrough for Trial 2 in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, including Fisherman Ernest, Backpacker Mikiko, Fisherman Herbert, Fisherman Carl, and the Totem Pokémon battle.
Walkthrough
- 1After the initial trainer battles (Fisherman Ernest, Backpacker Mikiko, Fisherman Herbert), approach Lana to begin the trial. Your objective is to scare off Wishiwashi creating splashes to lure them downstream.
- 2Follow the path south. In the tall grass, find a hidden Elixir in the south-east corner.
- 3Continue south-west to Lana. She'll point out two splashes. Before investigating, go north-west and then around to find a trainer and a X Sp. Atk.
- 4After battling Backpacker Mikiko, follow the dry land clockwise to the other side. Ignore the bearded man and proceed west along the pier to battle Fisherman Herbert.
- 5Use Lapras to swim west into the splashing water to scare off the first Wishiwashi.
- 6To the north-west, another splash is caused by a Dewpider (Water/Bug).
- 7Paddle south-west to the other side of the water. Go west to find a Revive and a Photo Spot.
- 8Follow the path east through more tall grass. Find a buried Max Repel between two patches of tall grass.
- 9Lana will point out two more splashes. Go to the water's edge and use Lapras.
- 10Investigate the splash south-west of Lana – this is your second Wishiwashi.
- 11The weather will change to rain. Investigate the other splash east of the Wishiwashi – this is another Dewpider.
- 12Head south from the Dewpider to a secluded dry area. Battle Fisherman Carl.
- 13Head south-west along the narrow path. Find TM57 Charge Beam at the end of the tall grass.
- 14Return to the water and swim west. On dry land, head south-west down the slope, then west towards the exit.
- 15Lana will catch up and direct you to the Totem Pokémon's location in the north-west.
- 16Before the battle, head south-west from Lana on the beach to find a Hyper Potion.
- 17Summon Lapras and swim north-west to the Totem Pokémon for the final battle of the trial.
