Learn all Genome Abilities in bravely default, including Blaster (50% Paralyze chance) and Paralyzing Pollen (75% Paralyze chance).

No.010 Blaster

Cannot be learned in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Zwart in Twilight Ruins in Chapter 5 and later. Has a 50% chance of causing Paralyze on each enemy. Paralyze is a very mean ailment, rendering the victim unable to act for a number of turns. While this ability won’t always work, it will be very crippling to the enemy if it does work.

No.011 Paralyzing Pollen

Can be learned from Alraune in the Florem region in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Alraune in Dimension’s Hasp B6 in Chapter 5 and later. Attacks one enemy; has a 75% chance of causing Paralyze. Has better odds than Blaster and does damage too, making it useful against lone enemies.

No.012 Fireball

Can be learned from D’gon in Witherwood in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from D’gon in Dimension’s Hasp B7 in Chapter 5 and later. A Fire-element attack on one enemy that ignores the enemy’s Physical Defense. Effective against enemies with high (or even maximum) defense.

No.013 Bone Crush

Cannot be learned in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Lester DeRosso in Vampire Castle or Skull Lancer in the Eisenberg region in Chapter 5 and later. A physical attack on all enemies that does damage equal to the enemy’s Maximum HP minus Current HP. Has no effect on bosses. If an enemy has less than 50% HP, that’s a guaranteed kill.

No.014 Withering Silence

Cannot be learned in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Kobold in the Caldisla region in Chapter 5 and later. Attacks one enemy; has a 75% chance of causing Silence. Doesn’t work on bosses. A fine way of shutting up enemy spell-casters.

No.015 Earthquake

Can be learned from Soil Eater in the Eisenberg region in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Soil Eater in Dimension’s Hasp B5 in Chapter 5 and later. An Earth-element attack on all enemies that does 1.2 times damage. Good for battering enemies weak to Earth without a Time Mage or the Earth Breaker axe.

No.016 Sandstorm

Can be learned from Sand Worm in the Harena region in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Sand Worm in Dimension’s Hasp B2 in Chapter 5 and later. An Earth-element attack on all enemies that has a 50% chance to cause Blind on each enemy. Doesn’t work on bosses. Fantastic for enemy mobs; their attacks won’t be so dangerous if they keep missing!

No.017 Gastric Juices

Can be learned from Gastric Worm in Everlast Tower in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Gastric Worm in Dimension’s Hasp B8 in Chapter 5 and later. Attacks all enemies and drops their Physical Defense by 25% for three turns. Useful against enemies immune to Fire; otherwise you’ll want to use Firestorm for its better fire-power.

No.018 Rock Storm

Cannot be learned in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Megascolides in Everlast Tower in Chapter 5 and later. An Earth-element attack on all enemies. The damage is nothing to write home about, but mobs weak to Earth won’t like it.

No.019 Toxic Whirl

Cannot be learned in Chapter 4 and earlier. Can be learned from Kaiser Cobra in Everlast Tower in Chapter 5 and later. An attack that does 0.75 times damage to all enemies and has a 50% chance of causing Poison to each enemy. Damage is bad, but being able to Poison all is great (until your Black Mage learns Group-Cast All).
