Alright, let's talk about Asmodeus, specifically the Lv.99 version. This guy is a real pain, but don't worry, we've got a couple of solid strategies to take him down without too much hassle.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Level: 99
• HP: 500,000
• Weak to: Water, Wind, Aquatic
• Immune to: Earth

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Standard Attack Pattern - Asmodeus uses 'Venomous Sting' and 'Call of the Infernal'.
2. Phase 2: Enhanced Speed - After using Default, Asmodeus gains a significant Speed boost, reaching 148 Speed, which is faster than most typical parties.

Strategy 1: High Jump Evasion

• This strategy relies on making your entire party incredibly fast so you can consistently use High Jump to avoid all of Asmodeus's attacks.
• Job Setup: Everyone should be a Ninja. Equip the Valkyrie's job command for High Jump.
• Abilities:
  • For three characters: Spear Lore (Valkyrie), Speed 30% Boost (Thief), Speed 10% Boost (Thief).
  • For the fourth character: Hasten World (Time Mage), Speed 20% Boost (Thief). (This character might still get outsped, but the others should be fine).
• Equipment:
  • Dual-wield the best spears on your Ninjas.
  • Equip Hermes Shoes (Agility +20) on everyone. These can be stolen from DeRosa in Chapter 7.
• Execution: On every single turn, have all characters use High Jump. The goal is to outspeed Asmodeus and avoid all damage. If your Hasten World user gets outsped and KO'd, don't worry too much, as long as the other three can keep up.

Strategy 2: Poison Over Time

• This method is much simpler and relies on exploiting Asmodeus's unique vulnerability to Poison.
• Job Setup: You'll need an Arcanist or Conjurer. Equip the Black Mage's job command.
• Abilities:
  • Status Ailment Amp (Arcanist)
  • Equip the best Intelligence-boosting gear you have.
• Execution: Use the Black Mage's Poison spell on Asmodeus. Unlike most bosses that only take 1% HP damage from Poison or are immune, Asmodeus takes a massive 10% of its HP per turn. All you need to do is survive for about 10 turns while the Poison does all the work. Make sure you have some way to heal or defend yourself while waiting for the Poison to tick down.
