Partway through the second screen of the ravine, a Sky Knight will ambush you. Don't panic; they're not much tougher than a goblin. On the first turn, use Default. On the next turn, attack twice. Then, use Brave commands until you defeat him. If you're feeling extra confident, you can Brave all the way from the start.

Near the end of the second screen, another Sky Knight will drop down. Deal with this one the same way you handled the first. Seriously, is this really the best Eternia can offer?

When you reach the end of the second screen, you'll be ambushed by two Sky Knights this time. Your best bet is to Default three times to build up your BP to the maximum. Once you have max BP, Brave four times on the same enemy. Then, on the next turn, Brave four times again. This should be enough to make the Sky Knights retreat, and you can finally leave the ravine in peace.

Party Chats & Friend Summons:

After crossing back to the first screen, Tiz will officially meet Agnes and her fairy companion, Airy. Agnes is hesitant to involve Tiz in her dangerous quest, which makes exiting the ravine a bit awkward.
Once you're outside the ravine, Tiz will notice Agnes's pendant. From this point on, you'll gain access to Friend Summons! The game will force a battle on you to get you started.
To use Friend Summons, choose "Summon Friend," then "Send." You'll then be ready to send your next move to other players. Initially, you can only choose "Attack," but later you'll be able to send abilities or special moves. Once the battle ends, your sent move will be updated.
