Navigate the Grand Mill Works in Bravely Default to find levers, open elevators, and reach the royal palace to defeat Khamer VIII and Khint. Includes boss strategies.
Walkthrough
- 1From the second floor entrance of the Grand Mill Works, go down at the first crossroad to find a chest with a Remedy.
- 2Go up at the crossroad and take the stairs leading upstairs.
- 3Follow the path upstairs, turning at the next junction to avoid a dead end, towards a chest containing a Phoenix Down and stairs leading down.
- 4Downstairs, in an isolated room, find chests with a Thumbing Claws and Earthing Rod.
- 5Return to the second floor crossroad and head right, up the stairs to the third floor.
- 6Continue right on the third floor to find a lever. Pull it to deactivate the first part of the gate blocking the elevator.
- 7Head downwards from the third floor crossroad and follow the winding path between floors.
- 8Collect an X-Potion (2nd floor; bottom-right), Hi-Potion (3rd floor; bottom-right), and Ether (2nd floor; top-right) along the way.
- 9Emerge in the top-left corner of the third floor and pull the second lever to deactivate the second gate, opening the elevator.
- 10Return to the elevator and go upstairs.
- 11Exit the elevator atop Ancheim and proceed right to the royal palace.
- 12Inspect the door at the end to enter the palace.
- 13On the right side of the palace, go to the blue exclamation mark to eavesdrop on the king and prepare for the boss battle.
Boss: Khamer VIII and Khint
- Level: 20
- HP: 6000 (Both)
- Weak to: Nothing
Khint supports Khamer VIII with sword magic. Khamer VIII uses Time Magic, including Stop (immobility) and Veilga (evasion boost), and Quara (earth damage).
Strategy:
- Focus attacks on Khamer VIII due to his annoying Stop and Quara abilities.
- When Khamer VIII nears half HP, he will start to Default, then attack twice the next turn.
- Magic is effective due to their low magic defense.
- Consider Defaulting until you have max BP, then unleash attacks.
- When Khamer VIII Defaults, you can risk attacking him on the turn he attacks twice (but not with the entire party).
- Later, Khint will Brave and attack twice, then become immobile. Attack him during his downtime.
After defeating the bosses, Ancheim will be without a ruler.
