Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge Walkthrough

Starting the Quest: First things first, you'll need to chat with Sara and Brokkr at Brokkr's Smithy in Bakbattahl. Don't worry if they don't give you the quest right away; just rest at an inn in Bakbattahl for about four in-game days, and the dialogue should trigger.

Heading to the Mountain Base Cave: Once you've got the go-ahead, your next destination is the Mountain Base Cave on the Agamen Volcanic Island. If you've never been there before, you might have to deal with a Guardian Gigantus fight as part of the main story. If you've visited the Volcanic Island region before, just head east from Bakbattahl, then south towards the Volcanic Island Camp, and finally southwest. Alternatively, a quicker route is to go through Drabnir's Grotto from the southern part of Bakbattahl and follow the southernmost road into the Volcanic Island region. The map provided shows the exact location in the southwest of the region.

Finding Sara in the Cave: When you arrive at the Mountain Base Cave, it's a good idea to clear out all the enemies both inside and outside. You'll run into some tough Rattlers and dangerous fire-based Sludge enemies that can inflict nasty damage-over-time effects. Once the coast is clear, make your way through the cave – it's pretty linear – to the southeast chamber where Sara is. You'll find her heating up the blazehammer.

Escorting Sara Out: This is the part where you need to be quick! From where you find Sara, turn right, then head north into a large open chamber. From there, turn southwest, then south, and follow the path as it bends north towards the cave entrance. You don't need to escort her directly; just get to the entrance first, and she'll follow. Warning: You have about two minutes to get her out before the blazehammer cools, which means you'll have to restart the escort section if you're too slow.

Returning to Brokkr and Roman: Once you've successfully guided Sara out of the cave in time, head back to Brokkr's Smithy in Bakbattahl. You'll see a short scene where Brokkr and Sara confirm the Regalia Sword is repaired. Your final stop is to deliver the sword to Roman, who can be found in the Fountain Garden of Vernworth Castle grounds.
