Follow our step-by-step walkthrough for the 'Readvent of Calamity' quest in Dragon's Dogma 2, including how to start it, repel the dragon, find Ulrika, and claim your rewards.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Start the Quest: Travel to Vernworth and complete several quests there. Return to Melve later; the quest should trigger. If not, complete any outstanding quests in Melve or continue progressing in Vernworth and revisit Melve periodically.
  2. 2
Repel the Dragon: Upon returning to Melve, a dragon will attack. While you may not be able to kill it at lower levels, attack it until it flees. Sigurd may assist and can teach you the Mystic Spearhand vocation.
  3. 3
Visit Ulrika: After the dragon is dealt with, rest (inn or campfire) and return to Melve. Speak with Ulrika at her house, which will be marked on the map when the objective is active.
  4. 4
Investigate Ulrika's Absence: After a cutscene with an official, speak with Ulrika. She will ask you to stay the night. Upon waking, she will be gone. Leave her house to trigger another scene.
  5. 5
Find Ulrika in Harve Village: Travel to Harve Village southwest of Vernworth. You will find Ulrika speaking with Jonas, the village elder.
  6. 6
Trouble on the Cape: This quest starts automatically when you find Ulrika. Follow her to Stormwind Cave to rescue a villager named Zoran from Saurians. You will have help from Ulrika and soldiers.
  7. 7
Return to Melve: After rescuing Zoran and Ulrika agrees to become the new leader of Harve Village, return to Lennart in Melve to report her wellbeing.
Tips
  • You can learn the Mystic Spearhand vocation from Sigurd after the dragon attack.
  • The dragon may drop Wyrmslife Crystals if you hit its heart enough times during the initial attack.
  • It might take more than one rest cycle for Ulrika's house objective to become active.
  • 2000 XP
  • 4500 Gold
  • Ring of Grit
