Every Rose Has Its Thorn Walkthrough

Follow our step-by-step guide to complete the Every Rose Has Its Thorn side quest in Dragon's Dogma 2, including finding evidence and confronting Allard.

Alright, so you've met Wilhelmina and she's got a bit of a problem with a guy named Allard. After she's done with him, she'll pull you aside and straight up tell you she wants him dead. You've got a choice here: help her out or try to talk her down. To actually get this quest, though, you'll need to agree to help her out.

Wilhelmina's next request is for you to find some dirt on Allard to prove he deserves to be killed. She doesn't give you much to go on, so your first stop is to find 'Sven' in his room at the palace. He'll point you towards 'Patrick', who might be able to help you out with this.

Sven will give you the directions you need for the next part. Head over to Patrick's manor. When you get there, Patrick will mention that some of the paintings in his place look a bit off. Chat with him again, and he'll help you out by making Allard appear for a short while. This gives you the chance to check out those suspicious paintings in his manor.

As soon as you're done talking to Patrick, you need to make your way to the quest marker. Allard will start heading towards Patrick's place pretty much immediately. The key here is to not get spotted by him, so make sure you duck behind the stairs or a nearby wall to stay hidden.

Once you're inside the manor, look for the painting above the nightstand. Interact with it to snag the 'Murder Report'. Take this back to Wilhelmina. After you hand it over, she'll want to take care of Allard. Follow her into the room next to her bedroom, and you'll learn some pretty wild stuff about her past.
