The Gift of Giving Walkthrough

Find Daphne in the Vernworth Slums. To reach the Slums, travel southeast from the Merchant Quarter, then east/southeast, and follow a path downwards. Daphne is a small girl with blonde hair, usually found in the center of the Slums, though she may roam the area.

Daphne will ask for a Bunch of Flowers. You can find these on the bed in Shakir's Inn. Alternatively, you can craft them by combining Sunbloom + Noonbloom, Sunbloom + Moonglow, or Noonbloom + Moonglow. Sunblooms can be found in the Palace Courtyard, while Moonglows only appear at night in fields outside the city or west near Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Rest Town.

After giving her the flowers, Daphne will request silver and gold ore. Any ore deposit can yield these, but Trevo Mine offers a higher chance due to numerous deposits. To reach Trevo Mine, exit Vernworth via the northwestern exit, follow the western path at the intersection, then take the northwestern path at the next intersection. Check the mountain outside the mine for scattered ore deposits before entering.

Inside Trevo Mine, expect to fight Goblins. Proceed north, and look for ore deposits against walls, especially in corners of rooms. You will need one silver ore and two gold ore.

Return to Daphne in the Vernworth Slums with the ore. She will then ask you to wait a few days, which can be done by sleeping at an inn multiple times.

After waiting, find Daphne outside the Gracious Hand. She will ask for two pieces of Gold Ore.

Finally, Daphne will request five items capable of healing Blight: either Detoxifying Decoctions or Panaceas. You can craft Detoxifying Decoctions using Pitywort and Syrupwort Leaf. If you don't have these herbs, you can purchase them from Philbert's Sundries in the Merchant Quarter for 500G per potion.

Hand over the blight-healing items to complete the quest. Daphne's story continues in the quest "House of the Blue Sunbright" in the Noble Quarter.
